At Strategic, we provide immediate attention to individuals who are at risk of injury to themselves or others. We work with indivuduals in their own environment to help stabilize the situation and prevent unnecessary placement. We collaborate with other professionals and help identify other resources/services needed to maintain stability. We strive to preserve and maintain safety in of individuals in their homes, families and communities.

Service components for crisis services:

• Recovery-oriented and Trauma-informed ‌ ‌ ‌

• Developmentally‌ ‌appropriate‌ ‌provision‌ ‌of‌ ‌services

• Screening‌ ‌for‌ suicidal‌ ‌or‌ ‌homicidal‌ ‌risk; integrating‌ ‌the‌ ‌‌Zero‌ ‌Suicide/Suicide‌ ‌Safer‌ ‌Care‌ ‌principles 

• Utilizes a sensitive‌ ‌approach to the individuals cultural‌ ‌identity‌ ‌and‌ ‌demonstrates‌ ‌respect‌ ‌for‌ ‌their‌ ‌lived‌ ‌experiences‌ ‌and‌ ‌preferences‌ ‌in‌ participating‌ ‌in‌ ‌care ‌

• Services‌ ‌provided‌ ‌in‌ ‌the community‌ ‌where‌ ‌the‌ ‌individual‌ ‌lives‌, ‌works,‌ ‌participates‌ ‌in‌ ‌services‌ ‌or‌ ‌socializes.‌ ‌(schools,‌ ‌homes,‌ ‌places‌ ‌of‌ ‌employment‌, ‌education,‌ ‌or‌ ‌community‌ ‌settings‌) ‌ ‌

• On site‌ immedate de-escalation and interventions‌ ‌of‌ ‌presenting‌ ‌emotional‌ ‌or‌ ‌behavioral‌ ‌symptoms ‌ ‌

• Brief‌ ‌therapeutic‌ ‌and‌ ‌life skills interventions‌

• Engaging‌ ‌natural‌ ‌support‌ ‌system to‌ ‌strengthen‌ ‌the‌ ‌individual’s‌ ‌participation‌ ‌and‌ ‌engagement‌ ‌

• Coordination‌ ‌with‌ ‌the‌ ‌Crisis‌ ‌Hotline‌ ‌Service and other community support entities ‌

• Linkage‌ ‌and‌ ‌referral‌ ‌to‌ ‌ongoing‌ ‌services,‌ ‌supports‌ ‌and‌ ‌resources‌ ‌as‌ ‌appropriate‌ ‌and‌ ‌least‌ ‌restrictive‌ ‌level‌ ‌of‌ ‌care‌ ‌including‌ ‌community‌ ‌stabilization

• Health Literacy / Psychoeducation

• Crisis education and prevention planning and support

• Linkage and referral to ongoing services, supports and resources (examples: housing, peers, chaplaincy), as appropriate and least restrictive level of care
