Jeremy Lomis

Director of Operations

                     

Jeremy joined Strategic in 2014 and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. He has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling, both from Liberty University. He also earned a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Regent University. Dr. Lormis is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC).

 
Dr. Lormis has spent the past 18 years supporting individuals, couples, and families in various professional roles. He works from a family systems approach and often integrates useful elements of Narrative Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy and has extensive experience providing counseling and therapeutic services addressing a wide range of presenting concerns, including mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, substance abuse, complicated grief, and marriage and family relationships issues. Jeremy also works with families and their children addressing the behavioral problems associated with attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder and oppositional defiant disorder.
 
As Director of Operations he is instrumental in program efficiency, development and expansion.  He works closely with our program managers to create policies and implementation plans to improve and standardize all aspects of our multi-regional agency.  He ensures all aspects of our work are carried out in manner consistent with our agency's model and approach.

 

 

 

Les Blondino

Director of Operations

 

Les earned his Master’s Degree in Agency Counseling and completed postgraduate studies from Lynchburg College in 1992. Les has also trained extensively in Strategic Family Therapy at the Family Therapy Institute of Washington D.C. He was appointed regional faculty member of the Institute by Cloe Madanes (one of the founders of strategic therapy). Les has received specialized additional training in the treatment of offenders and victims of violence and sexual offenses.

 

Les was an original member of Lynchburg’s first home-based team. He was also program manager for the area’s first private provider. He started Strategic Therapy Associates in 1994 which is now the longest operating private provider of intensive in-home therapy in the Lynchburg and Danville areas.

Today he is responsible for overseeing the clinical supervision processes across all programs. Les teaches the Strategic Family Therapy model to Intensive In-Home Clinicians to ensure interventions are philosophically consistent, and treatment results in positive client outcomes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mallory Baily

Intensive In-Home and Crisis Intervention (Lynchburg)

After receiving an M.A. in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2014, Mallory completed clinical assessments and provided counseling services in Virginia and Indiana. She joined Strategic in 2015 and now oversees Intensive In-Home and Crisis Intervention services in Lynchburg, where she helps to ensure that children avoid hospitalization or foster care placement.

Claire Borchert

Mental Health Skill Building Team Leader (Lynchburg)

Claire earned her psychology degree from La Roche College and her M.A. in Human Services Counseling from Liberty University. Even before joining Strategic, she was experienced in many aspects of human services, including the judicial system, mental health, transitional housing, and community outreach. At Strategic, she now supervises a growing team of Skill Builders to help stabilize individuals with mental health diagnoses and keep them in the community. 

 

In her spear time she enjoys volunteer at church, working on home improvement, and spend time with her husband, son,

and dogs.

Catilin Helm

Day Treatment Team Leader (Lynchburg)

Caitlin joined Strategic in 2008 after graduating from Liberty University with a B.A. in Psychology. She works proactively with at-risk children and youth, promoting their success in school and the community by helping them manage their behaviors. As senior counselor, she is a touchstone for the other day treatment staff and helps out with training and activities. She is trained in Howard Glasser’s Nurtured Heart approach and is an accredited TOVA instructor. 

 

When she isn't working, she enjoys the outdoors, going to church, and spending time with friends and family.

Misty Grossman

Client Care Coordinator (Lynchburg & Roanoke)

A Texas native who joined Strategic in 2007, Misty began her career as the Quality Assurance Coordinator/Billing Specialist.  After a temporary relocation, she returned as the Assistant Program Director for the Lynchburg area Day Treatment Program and now serves as Client Care Coordinator, managing the referral process and supporting clients through intake while ensuring prompt admission into the appropriate program.

 

Misty enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, 4-wheeling, hiking, and watching soccer. 

Lisa Taylor

Regional Manager (Danville)

After studying psychology at Norfolk State in 1995, Lisa worked at Martinsville City Public Schools and later received an M.A. in Education from ODU. In 2005, she started at Strategic while working on an M.A in Community Counseling at Lynchburg College. Today, she is a Licensed Professional Counselor responsible for supervising all programs and regional development, in addition to assisting with clinical assessments, supervision, and guidance. She has worked for all Strategic’s programs, and is well-informed on all aspects of our agency.

 

She enjoys spending time with her family, listening to music, and reading poetry.

 

 

 

Jacob Parr

Client Care Coordinator (Danville)

With a Masters is in Sports Leadership from VCU’s School of Education, Jacob initially started his career in education before joining Strategic in 2016. Today, Jacob oversees the referral process and guides our clients through the assessment procedure while also ensuring an efficient admission into the appropriate programs.

 

In his spare time, he enjoys going out on dates with his wife, attending church, watching any sport on television, coaching basketball, and hanging out with friends and family.

Mental Health Skill Building Team Leader (Danville)

Before this Saint Paul’s College, Sociology graduate joined Strategic in 2015, she had considerable experience in Human Services field in Virginia as a Therapeutic Day Treatment Manager, MHSB Coordinator, DSS Supervisor, and Social Worker.  At Strategic, she guides a growing team of Skill Builders to help stabilize individuals with Mental Health diagnoses to prevent hospitalization. 

 

She loves to travel, read, and getting involved in church related activities.
